Werner is a local-first app. Your documents stay on your Mac. We don't collect, store, or transmit your data. We don't have servers. We don't have accounts. We don't track you.

Werner does not collect any personal information, usage data, analytics, or telemetry.
Werner stores the following locally on your Mac to provide its functionality:

This data never leaves your device. Werner has no capability to access, read, or transmit this information.
Werner does not connect to the internet for its own purposes. The app does not phone home, check for updates, send crash reports, or include analytics.

If your markdown documents contain images linked from the internet (e.g., ), Werner will fetch those images to display them in the preview.
